“Edith Can Shoot Things and Hit Them” by A Rey Pamatmat is a gut wrenching, raunchy, and perfectly awkward story of three kids – Kenny, his sister Edith, and their friend Benji – whom are all but abandoned on a farm in the remotest part Middle America. With no parental guidance in sight, Kenny and his sister Edith must make up the rules as they go to create a functional household for them and their pet stuffed frog Fergie. But when Kenny and Benji's budding relationship faces bigotry, and Edith takes her watch guard duties way too far, the formerly indifferent outside world comes barging in whether they want it to or not. A Rey. Pamatmat’s mesmerizing play explores the isolation of adolescence, the hopefulness of first love, and the lengths to which we’ll go to find and protect our chosen family.
